![]() ![]() A questionnaire was used to identify soft skills needed, with the options are very important, important, not important, and very not important. Dacum Approach was used in this research.The sample of this research was 50 industry employees who have specification in mechanical engineering, vocational high school teachers who teach mechanical engineering and experts in soft skill field. The objective of this research was to identify specific soft skills that are importan to be taught to mechanical engineering students of vocational high schools. It could be proven and interaction that were done by graduated students from mechanical engineering at work. The preliminary research about soft skills of graduated students from vocational high school that took mechanical as their major were not optimal at work place. Suggestion of this research is management of Esa Sejahtera School Pekanbaru should enhance the information technology applied in Esa Sejahtera School Pekanbaru in order to improve teacher's competencies and teaching learning process. ![]() Besides that, the result for indirectly influence show information technology has significance influence toward teaching learning process effectiveness through teacher's competence. The result of this research found that Information technology directly has significance influence toward teacher's competence and also teacher's competence directly has significance influence toward teaching learning process effectiveness. Data analysis technique use path analysis on the basis of regression coefficient where the research variabel consist of Information Technology (X1), Teacher's competence (Y1) and teaching Learning Process Effectiveness (Y2). Population of this research are 53 teachers in Esa Sejahtera School Pekanbaru and the sampling technique used is total sampling with 53 teachers as respondents. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of information technologi toward teacher's competence and teaching learning process effectiveness. Basically almost every business and non business sector in this world has integrated with information technology especially in the education sector. The need of technologies in human life grows stronger and faster.
